Our colleague Ignacio Muro-Fraguas has won the Best Poster Award at the IX Doctoral Conferences G-9 (Engineering and Architecture area) with the poster ‘Application of anti-biofilm coatings by plasma-polymerisation on materials for the food industry and the medical sector‘.
His PhD research focuses on the reduction of bacterial adhesion and the consequent production of biofilm on stainless steel and 3D printed polymers, two materials that are currently widely used in the food industry and the medical sector (prostheses, implants, utensils for people with reduced mobility, etc.).
